Editing Category names
I want to edit the name of a category I created in the browser. I called the category I created "Transposers" and I want to change it to something else. I found the 'customtags.xml' file, but on inspection, it doesn't appear to be where the category names are stored, it's just the database of which modules have been reassigned categories. Does anyone know where I'd find the file containing the category names?

Re: Editing Category names
You want to "edit the name of a category" of what ?
I do not know if there are any other categories to be edited or created but not knowing that much about VM I will have to assume that it's presets ....
Then you do not state Windows or Mac , but I will assume Windows !
Then , I'm rather much a total novice when it comes to VM - and people like you usually are the 'masters'
also I have noticed how difficult that it can be to edit category names on VM and that VM apparently only will allow user preset category names if placed in the "User Presets" sub folder....
Anyway , now that all that's settled then , I have noticed some mention of my user category names in the "User Presets.presetdb"
which on my PC is located in the following places (please notice that I have an added custom install location on drive E: which adds a lot to the general confusion) :
C:\Users\<USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Voltage\Presets
C:\Users\<USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Voltage\Presets\User Presets
E:\Cherry Audio\Voltage Modular
If the file found at that location is the one containing the actual category references or only contains those as to refer to created user presets that I wouldn't know , it might be in another DB file , sorry I am sot sure and can not muster other today !..
I hope that some of this were of use , otherwise , sorry , I am too down at the moment to muster a better response today !

Re: Editing Category names
This has come up before. I'm not sure this is something that can be externally edited. I think you have to do it from within VM. Unfortunately.
