Voltage Modular is ready for offline licenses now
Voltage Modular is ready for offline licenses now
This is an official request for Voltage Modular to add a downloadable offline licenser like Ableton Live offers. I figure the company will be out of business eventually so it can't hurt to add Offline Licensing to VM. What do the staff think? Very pleased to get the variations feature I wanted and M1 support, etc. Moving right along steadily.

+1 !!!!!
That's a point, other users already mentioned. Until now there was no statemant from CA, what would happen with our licenences when CA eventually has to turn off their servers. CA only recommends to copy all files onto a safe place.

" ... poor taste ..."
Nobody wants to talk about death. Sure, the one who dies, won't have problems anymore, but the others. That's the reason, why I don't use cloud services.

When we die, we're leaving all the modules to our nephew Timmy, because he visits for the holidays.

The company will eventually have to shut down and Voltage Modular in ways can out do all the other software modulars in my opinion feature/quality wise so I would love a nice offline licence to license all of the individual modules/bundles owned offline. Thanks for the software.

HI,
Thanks again for the suggestion. Just so you know, we're planning to stick around.

I really hope you implement this. Everyone plans to stick around but sometimes things just go in a different direction. Having offline activation is simply peace of mind for your very appreciative customers. Especially for a system where there are so many third parties involved.
Right now, I am dealing with a very reputable company that I invested a good deal of time and money into and their forum is down and their plugins no longer authenticate against their online servers. The plugins work perfectly on the latest operating systems but they are now instantly broken because of whatever has happened with the company. So sad.
