Stochastic Note & CV Sequencer Gate Output

Post by Schville »

Hola folks,
I find it hard to believe that the gate output delivers a nearly 100% gate-width gate between adjecant active steps, even if legato mode is switched off. Is there any option or function that I'm missing? Would be rad to have the gate at least a little bit shorter, bonus points if the gate-width is based on the clock rate as it is with the Augmented Combination Klee Sequencer where the gate outputs follow the gate-width of the incoming clock.

I've set up a little patch to demonstrate (green cables transport clock, red cables transport gate signals):

INPUT 1 of the oscilloscope is the source clock
INPUT 2 of the oscilloscope is fed from by the gate output of the stochastic generator
INPUT 3 of the oscilloscope is fed from the upper gate bus of the Klee sequencer
INPUT 4 of the oscilloscope is fed by the re-gater module by Andrew Macaulay, which gets its input by the stochastic sequencer

The green line shows a nearly constant 5V high gate and there are only a few 0V pulses as the red line (source clock) is proving. Since the upper gate bus of the Klee's follows the gate-width of the source clock there is no difference between the red and the yellow line. The blue line follows the unconsistant green line, but extends its pulses duration to 200ms. Even on slower clock times there is no difference in the resulting green gate, but on higher BPMs it appears to be a pure 100% high gate.

With Re-Gater I have managed to have the blue line having the exact duration as the yellow line, but still the pulses are less than the clock. Also a funny experience is that the pulses seem to cycle between 5 and 7 skipped pulses.

Anyone has a solution for my little problem?
