I wasn't sure I was going to like this, but I tried it with BACH as a string ensemble and here's the result (snippet only)...

HOWEVER: it could be so much better if the novachord could be tuned to historical temperaments - ODDSOUND MTS-ESP have a very good solution, please refer to their develpment pages for an easy solution: https://oddsound.com/devs.php
