This request is already in the official wish list, but I'll repeat it here just to keep it on Cherry's mind. I opened it up and indeed, no sound. I discovered the levels of the oscillators in the VCF were set to zero, so I maxed them all out, for now. Also fiddled a bit with the ADSR control of the cutoff. And also played a bit with the decay and release on the ADSR. Not sure what sound they had in mind.

I'm bummed that there are so few stereo filters in the VM collection. Of the 30 or so that I own (because I need them okay?), only four have stereo I/O. Lots of interesting filters, but mostly mono. The solution you came up with doesn't modulate the Amp Mod Amount, it modulates the Frequency of Mod Gen 1. If this produces a sound you like, cool. But to modulate the Amp Mod Amount, you need to patch the output of Mod Gen 2 into Ext MG1 Level Control.

Just go into the Settings, in the Audio/MIDI tab. Every Cherry synth has this.

You can also do it very easily with one of Andrew Macaulay's excellent modules, GATE-TRG. It has a Release Trig output from any Gate Input (also an Invert Gate output, which comes in handy sometimes).

You can do it by inverting the keyboard gate, which will change the closing of the gate to a positive-going signal. You'll need an extra 5 volts to raise the signal back to normal (positive offset). Then sum the two into a TRIG TO GATE module, and set the GATE LENGTH to its shortest value (5msec).
