Big Bass Drum

I'm wondering if the Big Bass Drum patch is missing anything. I can't seem to get any sound out of it. MIDI controller does not work (and it works for other patches) and even the QWERTY keyboard does not produce any sound.

So far I think it's the only CA2600 that is like this.

I opened it up and indeed, no sound. I discovered the levels of the oscillators in the VCF were set to zero, so I maxed them all out, for now. Also fiddled a bit with the ADSR control of the cutoff. And also played a bit with the decay and release on the ADSR. Not sure what sound they had in mind.

In that patch, it also helps if you set the Ring Mod input to the VCA to max, and ease the St Verb slider beneath the FX-BUS up to about 1/3, to taste. There are a lot of other things you can fiddle with, once you know the patch routing. The attached pic shows what I got up to. Still not entirely happy with it, but it's getting there. Enjoy.
