In some cases I would like to be able to "stretch" a cable to move it out of the way of obscured controls. I could imaging dragging the cable down (or up?).

Just as an example, please see these screenshots. The upper one shows the cables in VM; in the lower screenshot I have drawn in two stretched / dragged cables for Output 3 on the 1x8 switch. it's as if I had selected longer patch cables in real-life.
