Improved Help

Post by DarkStar »

A few ideas:

(a) The Info window for each module
Please add another link that take the user to the relevant page in the User Guide. For example, this:
Image

would take the user to this page:
https://docs.cherryaudio.com/cherry-aud ... oscillator

(b) the [?} button on the main window
Currently, this leads the user to:
https://docs.cherryaudio.com/
It would be handy if we had an Interface Setting to open a local copy of the User Guide PDF instead.

(c) The User Guide PDF
The text is pretty small It would be much more readable if the text were bigger. Here's an example:

PS:

The bold tags do not work well (at all?) in these pages; One of the following questions is bold.

This is a long running issue with the phpBB forum software that isn't in Cherry Audio's control.

Annoying just the same however isn't it!

It's OK on other phpBB forums, though, e.g. KvRAudio. May be it's a version-specific thing?

Anyway, what do you think of my suggestions?

It may be version specific, I know there are multiple versions in use. But I do see this issue in other boards using phpBB.

I like the suggestions, but have to admit I am exploring and way out of my element with VM. Very lost so far.
And sorry, didn't mean to sidetrack the thread! (Bad habit)
