Why reposition the I/O and Perform Control panels

viewtopic.php?p=1421#p1421 cherryaudio Greg offers a tip about moving the I/O and Perform Control panels. Not sure I understand the point of moving these panels when their position is not restored when loading a preset where the panels were moved from their default location.

When I mentioned the save issue earlier,

it was not clear if it was a feature or a flaw
