Preset Changes on Project Load

Post by jcook793 »

I'm using DCO-106 version 1.4.0 in Logic Pro 10.7.9 on an M2 Macbook Air with macOS Ventura 13.6.

My issue is that if I choose a preset, save the project, close the project, then re-load it, a different preset is set. The preset that gets loaded seems to be random, although usually towards the top of the list of all presets.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

In the log file, it loads the correct preset, "Delicate Beauty". But then loads a different one after that. No idea why. Here's the last part of the log file:

Code: Select all

13:56:22.743 LoadPreset() ENTER
13:56:22.743 Loading preset with version 1
13:56:22.743 Loading preset with name Delicate Beauty
13:56:22.744 LoadPreset() EXIT
13:56:22.744 GuiManager::LoadPluginStateFromValueTree() Exit
13:56:22.749 Current version = 1.4.0 Server version = 1.4.0
13:56:23.042 Loading preset file /Users/jcook/Library/Application Support/CherryAudio/DCO-106/Factory Presets/DCO-106 Presets/Factory Presets/A67 Shaker.dco106preset
13:56:23.044 LoadPreset() ENTER
13:56:23.044 Loading preset with version 1
13:56:23.044 Loading preset with name A67 Shaker
13:56:23.046 Loading default state for control 'Delay - Damping' missing in preset.
13:56:23.046 Loading default state for control 'focusReset' missing in preset.
13:56:23.046 LoadPreset() EXIT
13:56:23.053 LoadPreset() Actually done loading - setting preset to not be dirty

After a lot of trial and error, I found that I can avoid this behavior if I turn the setting "MIDI Program Changes Should Change Current Preset" off. I don't see where a program change is happening, although this is starting to sound like a Logic Pro bug...
