MIDI channel selection in MIDIMOD4

Post by seal58 »

Hi,

I'm going to get MIDIMOD4. Before I'd like to know, whether it is possible to set a distinct MIDI channel in this module.

Hi Roland,

Thanks for the interest in our modules. I'm afraid MIDIMOD4 doesn't allow you to target a specific MIDI channel.

We do have a MIDI channel splitter module (MIDISPLITCH) but suspect that might not solve your specific case - basically it separates out any MIDI messages specific to a certain channel and directs them to another output.

Perhaps there's a need for a utility that takes MIDI messages and re-assigns them to a specific channel, amongst other things.

Edit: all our modules are available for a 3 day trial.

No intention to mislead. The documentation is incorrect and has been updated. Apologies for this.

The outgoing (CHANNEL SPLITS) MIDI message(s) channel data byte is reset to zero, i.e. channel 1.
