To Devs: Please make video or patches for your modules

I appreciate that the devs who make the modules are busy, but I am begging, please make videos or patches that demonstrate what your modules are supposed to do or what they sound like. Some are simple to figure out, but some are obscure and interesting and I do not have the time to figure them out just to decide if I want to buy them before the demo expires. I have bought a ton of modules and want to support the devs, but I am not buying another one unless there are better examples of what they do.

Hi I know what you mean. It may be worth shouting out to the community here or on the Facebook group if there is a module that you are particularly interested in?

I contacted some directly, but really got nowhere. They said they would get around to it when they were less busy. I would like to see making manuals, videos or patches part of the culture of the software. Maybe the Cherry Audio people could make stronger suggestions or link approval of a module to some kind of supporting info. I want to support the devs, but I would also like to see that support returned.

Maybe you could share one or more focused proof-of-concept presets you have developed using a specific module you have been exploring, post them as examples, and ask other users to share what they have been doing with the specific module you have been exploring.
Personally, I would like to see more of that kind of thing by the community of VM users.
Sometimes if we as users show the developers how we are using their modules, that opens up a dialogue and developers can share ideas built into their modules that they are proud of but don't see others using those design features.

I like your concept, but I would like to see what the developers think the module is supposed to do and then tweak it from there. I use VCV Rack a lot and so many of the devs write beautiful manuals and explanations, and most of those modules are free.
I am glad we can demo the modules for a week, but so often the week runs out before I can really explore them. I am happy to buy the modules, but I really just want to see them in action so I can determine whether they are interesting enough for me to pursue.
Maybe this is just my issue. If that is the case I will just look for modules I can wrap my head around quickly and let others explore the more complicated ones.

indeed, some developers have not the most extensive video's...
but then there is Rolf Kasten...
for the Byte Oscillator, i can use it, but still, a more in depth approach;
https://youtu.be/neL8FgNZxV0
(this is only Part 1, by the way)
for Zeroscillator, although Mark Barton made a good overview of the zeroscillator; a full-featured yt vid of 2 hours, well, you also will learn about real FM...;

Thank you. Those videos inspired me to buy the modules. I am also more likely to support a dev who offers that kind of support to their customers.

I have done technical overviews and demo's of all my modules.
I have a biggish one in the works coming out very soon...
