Haha, i just got the same problem with a 1st gen. Scarlett 2i2, after migrating to Win10 last month.
Mine usually does not switch off by itself, but needs to be unplugged replugged after booting otherwise it won;t be recognized.
Too bad, for an otherwise stellar interface.
