Wow, that sounds like a nightmare. Here, I'm on the east coast usa, I think its 'okay, grab all you can the user doesn't care' attitude and nothing in place to stop them. Yes, insane. Extremely. That's why, and you agree, having a FB is not attractive. I'll just nope right out of there .. so the mystery continues

I appear to use VM almost exclusively in standalone version. It is a different, inspiring workflow (or should I say playground) for me which I enjoy on its own. Having all in one place/one window and just patching along... then, when you find sweet spots : just recording the audio as live session - as contrast to working with VSTs in a DAW where - usually - everything has to be done in more than one stage and a piece usually takes a while to process from idea gathering to final stage.

So yeah.. that*s what inspires me with VM.
Here is an account of mine which has material exclusively done in this way. No composition, no production, just raw exploration in VM.

Thanks for sharing … it is appreciated. Right now, I’m using VM more as a sound source when the need for these timbres are useful. It’s too bad about the FB group where users showcase their work, equally disappointing, there is no interest in the Reddit group, r/voltagemodular - it seems, rather underused … r/cherryaudio is more for marketing

I bought the system 100 modules and year 3 collection on special offer. Thought it was way worth it for you get. I prefer to learn something until i have found out it all there is to it. So am still working on the system 100 and arp 2500. My understanding of synthesis and synthesizers has went up quite a lot. Being able to use these unicorns even in software is quite the thing.

Yeah London Crime Theme is really dope!

I just completed a VM piece that I am very happy with that has a lot of motion, but it is approaching the limit of whats easily possible without LSSP.

Looking forward to giving my piece its next iteration to include LSSP XL modules. I am resisting the urge to publish what I have so far, due to the desire to explore monetization of the piece. But here is the beginnings of it, what I had within a couple of days of trying VM for the first time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOHnEOe_Cg8

What software did you use to screenshot VM? miRack on iPad has screen with audio recording built in on the iPad, makes it a snap to post miRack pieces.

Here is my best modular piece with miRack - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttCBpq4 ... esTeoRpAbQ

This is probably my best with VCVRack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlA3mv7QWZg&t=126s

Like half the planet I use OBS. I'm still a beginner with it and find it pretty frustrating as it seems so poorly documented despite there being countless youtube tutorials on it.

The only way I can get useful results is in a dual screen setup with OBS on one and VM on the other.
