New Voltage Modular Nucleus Tutorial Series

Post by Cherry Dan »

Friends,

Here's the first of our new tutorials designed to inspire you to explore new sounds with modular synthesis. These tutorials are built around our free Voltage Modular Nucleus package, but these same concepts apply to any modular synthesizer. We're going to put out a lot more of these videos, all designed to get you thinking of new ways to use modular synthesis.

If there are any subjects you'd like us to explore in this new tutorial series, let us know. There's a massive world of sound available once you start dreaming up clever ways to patch modules.

Stay safe, everyone.

OUTSTANDING!

Personally, I'd love to see 3 minute vids on individual modules, like:

"Here's what you can do with an attenuverter"
(not simply a description, but an explanation of why people use it, including patch with visible cables)
(put a link to downloadable patch in description?)

"3 ways to use a sequencer"
"make a generative patch"
"in which our hero uses sample and hold for great justice"
"I bet you didn't know that you needed a sync divider"
"guest artist patch - now with visible cables"
"here's an exceedingly handsome man talking for 10 or more minutes explaining everything going on in that amazing nucleus preset patch that comes with the software" - do lots of these
"song contest - here's your patch" (winner's patch is linked in description)
"wtf do these modules from 3rd party do?" (we'll buy more stuff if someone shows us what it does)
"here's a quick tip"

thanks folks!

All,

We've got another great inspirational tutorial video, all centered around the modules included with our Nucleus package. This video is all about creating drum and percussion sounds with modular synthesis. It's full of great ideas, and it's my personal favorite tutorial so far! Enjoy.

Another really useful video, thanks.

At the risk of sounding a bit weird, I do like Cameron's voice !

All,

Here's our next tutorial video, and it's perhaps the most inventive one yet. This video shows how to use an envelope generator as an envelope follower to create unique audio effects. Then, a ring modulator and noise source is used to morph a basic drum beat into a unique high-hat track. There are tons of great ideas in this video!
