Hi All,
Spent all afternoon trying to figure out why I am getting these low 'Ghost notes' after the 3 programmed notes are triggered.
Would be really grateful if someone could point out the error of my ways.
edit: I have to say though, when hooked up to a keyboard, it plays O.K. - no ghost notes.

Re: Ghost notes???
The sequencer is currently programmed to output a high note follow by 3 low notes. Every time you step to these low notes, the CV output is low even though you've turned the gate off.
You can use the manual Step > button to step through the notes so you can hear for yourself what's happening.
Hope that helps!
Dan

Re: Ghost notes???
@xuoham - Hi Paul, Thanks very much for the messages.
The only way I have found to cut off the Ghost notes is to set the Release much lower (around 550.0 ms).
The problem is I'm trying for a bell like sound with a fairly long Release time - so this is really screwing things up for me if I can't work out a solution.
In the preset I posted the Release was on full - to illustrate the problem.Envelope's release too short ?

Re: Ghost notes???
Hi Dan, Thanks very much for the explanation.
As I mentioned above, in my reply to Paul, I can curtail the Ghost notes by reducing the Release time. But I really need a long Release time to create a bell type sound.
It seems to me that the tails on those three low note steps, in that first section of the sequencer, are bleeding through to the next adjacent steps which are, as you say, turned off.
Is there any way to stop that - apart from shortening the Release phase & spoiling the bell sound?

Re: Ghost notes???
I don't have Octagon, so i couldn't run the patch but could it be this :
since you have a very long release and since your are not using a poly oscillator, any new note has to abruptly steal the voice from the former note, hence the click or whatever one could call this ghost note ?
Did you try a poly oscillator intead ?
This may be a stupid remark, but kust in case ...

Re: Ghost notes???
Thanks Paul.
Just tried that but it doesn't seem to help.
At least - I can't get it to work that way - which may be a different thing altogether!

Re: Ghost notes???
Try setting the following notes of each triggered step to the same pitch. It works here.
