Absolutely love the GX-80 in my first play around with it.
The ribbon controller is amazing but using a mouse to click and drag is obviously not the way to go. Has anyone figured out a way to use an iPad to control this via a touchscreen? Either directly via the plugin or via a DAW/TouchOSC/etc.?
I'm really hoping there's a way to control this other than running the plugin itself on a touchscreen laptop.
Any method to use and iPad for the ribbon controller?

As it's written in the user guide, the Yamaha Ribbon was a linear pitch bend. So you can use the pitch bend of your keyboard, and if you haven't one, buy a keyboard with a Ribbon, as the Hydrasynth keyboard or Hydrasynth Deluxe from ASM, a Montage 7 from Yamaha or a K2700 from Kurzweill.Pitch Bend- To pitch a note or notes, press the + or - computer keyboard keys while playing a note. Because the bend range is determined by the current pitch bend ribbon settings, we highly recommend setting the ribbon to Semi mode and using the Bend Range knob to determine bend depth (Lin won't work very well in this scenario unless you want to do super-low dive bombs).
Notes can also be pitchbent by clicking the mouse in the Bend area.
I'm pretty happy with an hydrasynth deluxe : 73 keys, 219 wave forms, 4 outputs, ... well, look here at 1mn02, and read the description
