Which MIDI Program & Bank change to send to select preset

Post by StuartAberdein »

Hi, Where can I find which MIDI Program and Bank changes I must send to select particular presets? I can't find anything in the manual or online. Thanks

I am just a Chery Audio Products user. If you want to reach Support, here's a link to open a conversation: https://cherryaudio.kayako.com/conversation/new

The last time I asked, Cherry Audio doesn't support midi bank switching. In my experience, some DAWs will be successful sending patch changes with the VST2 version of instrument plugins but not VST3 versions. When they work, patch changes affect the current manually selected Cherry Audio collection [bank]. So if your current collection has 3 patches, patch change commands will rotate through those 3.

I just tested this with the GX-80 (VST2 and Stand Alone versions) and it still works this way on my computer, provided "MIDI Program Changes Should Change Current Preset" is ticked in the Settings menu (under General).

I hope this helps

Hi Steve,

Thanks. I'll give that a try.
