A new P.moon module was released just now. DePitcher Basic is intended to simulate inaccurately tuned voices of ancient analog synthesizers and it’s long time frequency drifting as a result of thermal influences.
This module can be seen as main controller of a synthesizer. It belongs to CV Processors category.
Proposed use:
- Feed it with pitch and gate CV (mono and/or poly). Set slider switch "M - P" matching used inputs.
- Send pitch and gate output CV to your synthesizer voices.
- Try playing notes while changing fixed detune value.
- If you set the module voice number to 8, try UNISON mode. It sounds great, when fixed detune is arround 20 ct.
- Set voice number to 4 and host polyphony to 8. Play melody and chords. Compare result switching between WALK and SMART mode.
- Compair playing legato and/or staccato notes, when DePitcher LEGATO button is toggled on or off. LEGATO does only effect mono outputs. It is usable in poly mode too, when UNISON is on.
- Set time to 3 sec and final offset to -1200 ct/tone (= -1 octave). Play and hold a cord, then click on START. This is a very common sound effect, that is used in many songs.
Mono outputs are ment to control a bass synth. When mono output mode is set to LOWEST, this output will provide lowest of all actually played notes. In position LAST it will provide pitch of last played note. Mono gate output CV depends on actual LEGATO button state.
DePitcher has suffix Basic, because it's voice number is limited to 8. Another version with 16 voices and more controls will come later.
You can test DePitcher for 10 days for free.

Owners of P.moon Ultimate Bundle will get DePitcher Basic automatically, when their library gets updated.
Have fun!
