Capricious Clock

Post by dayvyg »

Thanks for this module! It certainly adds a lot of rhythmic variation to a patch. However, it continues to output a trigger even after the clock feeding it is stopped. I've tried a couple of different clock sources - Andrew Macaulay's Clock:Gen and Monkey Business Audio's Tempo Clock.

Thanks.

Hi,
The 'Capricious Clock' is adaptable to tempo changes (meaning slow tempo changes), so any clock signal put into it has to be more or less continuous in order to allow the module to always have a fair estimate of the current tempo. Apply the gate signal you have used to start and stop the source clock not to the source, but either to a logic AND or an attenuator through which the trigger output has to run.
This will do the trick.

Okay, that makes sense and does indeed work. I learned something today. Thanks for the lesson!
