Voltage-Controlled Matrix Switch

Hello,
I just got the whole package and now I try to get familar to the modules.
At this matrix switch I found that row link behaviour depends on CV Switch mode. When several rows are linked and I chose Trigger mode, I can use any Switch In jack of linked rows and on/off triggering will work fine for all rows.
When I chose Gate:On or Gate:Off link will will work only when Switch In jack of lowest linked row is used. Otherwise there is no switch function.
Is that normal state or an issue?
