Re: CV->CC module doesn't work in cubase vst
Hey grooveq,
I have elaborated this issue in another thread in this forum:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=869
The digest is: either use a virtual MIDI device as intermediate, like LoopMIDI, or - if you can - try the VST2 version of Voltage Modular.
Best regards,
Martin

Re: CV->CC module doesn't work in cubase vst
pretty sure cubase is blacklisting the vst2
unfortunately this comes as no surprise, what an incredible disappointment.

Re: CV->CC module doesn't work in cubase vst
You can check your VST2 and VST3 plugin paths and see if the VST2 has been installed in the first place. I had to re-install Voltage Modular, since I did not have the VST2 version installed. After I had done this, I moved the VST3 plugins (instrument and effect) out of the VST3 folder, launched Cubase and then I could use the VST2 version of VM to perform my tests.
Alternatively you can setup a virtual MIDI device using the IAC driver in the Audio MIDI Setup and check if MIDI data is sent through this device by using it as the output device in the MIDI Out module and as the input device on the track you want to send MIDI data to.

Re: CV->CC module doesn't work in cubase vst
OK so yeah Cubase on the mac disappears the VST2 when the VST3 is present
...unlike some other plugins you can choose which you use...
so i offlined the VST3, restarted Cubase 10.5 and the VST2 appeared
...which DOES send CC from the module, no need for IAC etc, just midi output of Voltage to midi input of other VST etc
So the VST3 is definitively not working correctly (its never a surprise when VST3 dont work properly)
thanks for your help!
