Hi all :)

I got Voltage Modular in the Black Friday sale and I think I'm addicted. It's so much fun to play with the sonic possibilities modular synthesis provides, and the DAW integration makes the platform both unique and awesome.

I also soon realized that this was the opportunity I'd been waiting for - Cherry Audio have dome something awesome: They have provided a great development environment for building modules and removed all the tedious work of creating things surrounding the actually interesting stuff about audio processing: taking signals, and mangling and changing them in interesting ways.

I've been interested in DSP for a while and this gave me the opportunity to put the theory books I've been reading into practice. So I started programming modules. The first free one, HÄÄSchen, is available and free, and a little distortion plugin I built is coming soon.

Let me know what you think about the modules. I'm looking forward to being a part of this community!

Hi! Welcome! I'm still pretty new myself - only 2 modules up so far, but many more on the way! I agree that it's nice to have a friendly platform to develop some stuff without a lot of the overhead that comes with VSTs or standalone apps.

Hi haslo,

welcome here and thanks for your introducing gift "Hääschen".

Referring to it's name I'd like to mention, that VM is used worldwide. On my view, use of national specific letters like "ÄÖÜß" might be a problem for non German users.

Regards
Roland

Thanks for the heads-up! The ¨ are more of a play with how umlauts are often used for röck döts etc. The module does a Haas effect, and the store is smart enough to find it when people search for Haas. But yeah, certainly something to be aware of!

I've released my second module already, DeSTRuKTor (a waveshaper / wavefolder / hard clipper). I had started this first, but it's a bit more complex and thus took longer to finish.

Every OS an browser is now fully Unicode compatible. This is a non-issue. And also, we don't need to Anglicize the whole world. I am sure people can deal with eszett and so on. I am an English speaker, and it's nice to see some German. Spice things up!
