... the panel is unfortunately really stripped out.
No way to get the ring mod into the vcf as there is not the usual "ring mod in" nor the ring mod panel where there is a ring mod out jack.
Am i missing something ?
Now i'm hesitating ...
And the sales ends today (already Sep. 15th in Japan, past midnight) ... i should have checked earlier.
It might have the twang of a 2600, still be a great synth but it is not a complete clone, apparently.
It never was claimed to be so, actually, i know.
So, a little bit too bad for the missing connections.

yay now that you mention it. I skipped on the vintage voice modules as I feel pretty covered with Arturia's emulations.

Yeah, but arturia's v collection is $500. $50 for all the synths in the year2 collection is a pretty darn good deal.

Some thoughts from a new-to-VM long-time dabbler in electronic music. Can't comment on arturia or the original 2600, but after picking up the FM Station bundle very recently, I decided to go for the two-year celebration pricing on the year-two bundle. Everyone has different interests and the FM Station so far is still my favorite in the year-two bundle. But with a partial discount for my FM station purchase, the additional modules give me some options I am sure I will use.

Again, its really a matter of personal taste, but as a new-comer to VM, this bundle offers a nice assortment of software synths and different kinds of modules, and the sale pricing works for me.

I hope this helps you make a decision.

Yes, don't get me wrong this bundle is a great deal. I bought it.
Just a little clarification about the 2600.

Already own the FM bundle so i was hesitating, with a few hours left. :D
BTW, it is really cool that Cherry Audio makes some partial discount if you already own a bundle.

yes, and the comparison is not really fair, I do admit. having the ARP thing involved into the VM environment is an advantage to any VST emulation whatsoever. but 500, really? I got them for like 200-250 on some sale, I do own the previous version though.

anyway, go for it. the offer is alluring... the VM one :D

So, logically, it would be great to have a third oscillator and a few more connections in an update ! Pleeez, Cherry Audio !
