Not a swing module (thanks Insomniac !) but a whole groove generator.
That is, for example, with a 16th notes beat, the possibility to delay (or even, let's be crazy, move ahead (much more complicated, i guess) each of the three 16th notes after the 1st one. Like the groove option in Ableton Live.
I have no idea how this would be feasible :
modify the sync signal ? that would be awesome, if not impossible
or just, like Insomniac's Swing, modify the sequencer's gate signal ? sounds more reasonable but then, since the groove module has to monitor, i guess it would be impossible to move some beat ahead, unless monitoring a "dummy bar" beforehand.
Or does such a module already exist ?

Why not! The basic idea is not hard to implement, I guess it’s mostly about making the module intuitive to use. And like you said, delaying is always quite easy, but moving something earlier requires some kind of buffering, which makes it more complicated. I’ll see how it’s done in Live, maybe I’ll be inspired!

The fact that it works well in a DAW like Live is that it's not dealing with a real time CV signal but with commands to execute.
Obviously, applying a groove to a sequence, even shifting ahead in time, is ridiculously easy (well logically, what do i know, i'm not a programmer).
On the other hand, a module like Swing deals with incoming events so, yes, a buffer is probably indispensable.
Personally i would mostly need groove on my favorite sequencer, the VariStep Sequencer from M*4. I wish it would be implemented.
But regardless personal preferences, it would be great to have a groove option on any sequencer. I am surprised that, afaik, none of the seq. modules have this possibility.

Seems like you could just use the DAW's grooves via MIDI From Host output.

Not if i want to use some of VM's sequencers.
No native euclidean seq. in Live and i just love the VariStep Seq.
So unless M*4 makes a Max4Live version, there is no other option for me.

Actually, here is a nice euclidean sequencer for M4L, but no groove. Well, since euclidean is polyrhythmic by nature, i guess the groove concept is a bit hard to implement. But this is only a guess, maybe a programmer would say otherwise. There is a swing option, though.
Ten bucks, it's tempting, as it is a bit more feature loaded that Euclidean Duels or uQuence.

Trigger driven sequencers cannot do those "nudging notes before the grid".
More rhythm oriented sequencer is one of modules I want to make. I will put these micro-timing feature.
(I think it's not difficult to add to Vari-step, but that module is already huge.)
