FR : alternative computer keyboard mappings

Hello, could it be possible to have alternative mappings for the computer keyboard? (Azerty for me, but I guess other mappings might please users outside US or UK)
I didn't find an option to change those mappings myself, maybe there's a file I can edit somewhere?
It's so convenient to be able to jam with the laptop keyboard on-the-go

it'd be great if there was a way to assign custom hotkeys, but for Windows users, there's the wonderful AutoHotkey scripting program.
it lets you remap keys on your keyboard, and also pick a key combo and send long strings of key inputs
