Hello

I am very new to the modular world and have a problem getting Voltage Modular seeing my MIDI Controllers.

I am running Windows 10 and have both Ableton Live and Bitwig (which is my DAW of choice). I use Beatstep Pro, Keystep, LaunchPad Pro and the APC 2 as controllers.

If I run Voltage Modular in standalone mode, everything is fine and is able to be controlled from all Controllers, however when accessing it through a DAW either of the two mentioned, no communication at all. Voltage Modular appears in both libraries but neither receive any MIDI information.

Has anyone a reason for this and how I can resolve the problem

Hi,

Is the MIDI from Host indicator lighting up? Can you get regular MIDI notes?

Make sure you're only running one DAW at a time. Other programs can snag the MIDI data.

Thanks for your reply. The problem seems to be as you suggested, one DAW was interfering with the other. Shutting down Ableton allowed Bitwig to function correctly.

I grabbed Bitwig a few weeks ago precisely to get better control over MIDI for Voltage and Reason. Ive been blown away with how good Bitwig is.
