Bug in VM2500 1026 Preset/Voltage

Post by GBDarwin »

I might be missing something or otherwise mistaken, but when "linking" the VM2500 1027 to the 1026 the 1026 does not step correctly. It pulses twice on step 1 before moving to step 2 (which is step 3 on the 1027). If confusing maybe this will help:

1027-------1026
(step 1)-----(step 1)
(step 2)-----(step 1)
(step 3)-----(step 2)
(step 4)-----(step 3)
etc.

Thanks for any information.

This bug has been fixed and a new release is in the pipe. I will check that particular connection between the 1026 and the 1027 again before it goes out just to make sure. Thanks for the notification.

Any update on this? I'd love to see the 1026 working properly.

The latest version of the 1026 still exhibits this behavior. The 1050 module appears to sync step-by-step as expected with the 1027, but the 1026 does not.

Probably related, but if one drives the 1026 Link In with a 0-5V phasor, the 1026 often skips the last step or does not give the 8th step its full duration. The CV signal appears to require some amplification to get a steady 8-step sequence.

Fortunately, I've found some similar functionality in these modules, but I'd really appreciate it if the 1026 were fixed:
