Korg MS20ic

Post by leggy »

Hi,

Is anybody using a Korg MS20ic controller with the PS-20 instrument? I've just bought the PS-20 and happen to have a Korg MS20ic sitting unused in the studio so I just plugged it in. First impressions are that you have to use midi learn to map the knobs but once that's done it's pretty amazing. I haven't tried to map the patch points yet and I'm not sure if that's possible?

Thanks

Ok well just to say I haven't found a way to map the patch points (Cherry audio people??) and there a few extra controls on the instrument that can't be mapped to the controller but other than that it seems like a very easy way to control what in effect becomes a polyphonic MS20.

Hi,

I don't believe there's a way to map patch points (that could get complicated quickly). One thing you can do it would be to save different presets with the various patches you want to use, then switch presets with program change messages.
