is it a stand alone?

Surrealistic MG-1 Plus is a loving recreation of the Realistic MG-1, an oddball synthesizer sold by the 1980's consumer electronics giant Radio Shack.

is it a stand alone?

Post by hArDcoreHarmreDucer »

Hy,

I opened the mg-1 in my daw, but I can't put sound in my piano roll, it works only as a stand-alone as if.
Can anybody put me on the right track?
Thanx

Hi,

What do you mean when you say you can't put sound in your piano roll? Which DAW do you have? It should work just like any other virtual instrument.

Fl Studio, so that shouldn't be a problem...

I open my daw, make a new pattern and drag the mg-1 to the pattern's channel rack.

It then not opens, but the regular sampler opens.

I then find the mg-1 in the effect-slot of this pattern in the mixer.

ok,
problem is solved.
For one reason or another the mg-1 ended up aswell in my generator list as in my effects list.
It's surrealisticly stupid that I clicked the one in the effects database...
Sorry to have bothered you.
bey!

This is a fantastic sounding free synth, so impressed, thank you for making this available for everyone. I love the Mercury 4 too, wasn't so pleased with the 8 voice but that's ok. Keep up the great work, supporter here for sure.
