Random Seed Non-Persistent?

Post by robgray »

Really love the simplicity of the Random Seed module. It definitely fills a nice gap when I need a random number without the complexity of the other randomness modules.

However, I noticed that when a random value is triggered via a EXT, that value does not persistent when loading a Variation or a rack preset.

Is there a way this could be added? Sometimes I am working away from my studio on my laptop and find a very good random patch and want to bring it as I hear it into my studio computer.

Hi Rob,

I'm glad that you enjoy the module and thanks for your idea on making the last generated value persistent.

I have implemented this feature so that the module now "remembers" the value along with the preset. I have also made some minor GUI changes.
The update should be released in a few days as soon as Cherry Audio approves it.

Best regards,
Martin

Just tested recall in standalone with patches and variation- so far it’s working great!

Thanks- this helps when I stumble on a very useful combo of values.
