Re: Horrible aliasing

Just a saw ( osc 3 ) set to 2' or 4"' , synced to osc 2 (set to 16') makes it alias . No rocket science Result is and remains horrible Changing internal sample rate to 96 Khz to reduce the aliasing simply proves it's bad dsp coding from the start . It is what separates the good ones like talmod...

Re: Horrible aliasing

Exactly the same as shown in the first post I am not using any modulation at all , but just playing higher registers . Sync slave osc is two octaves above the sync master ( both saw waves ) , now play higher notes and you hear the aliasing . But even when both are the same it still happens Modulatio...

Re: Horrible aliasing

Osc sync aliases when playing high notes , no matter the sample rate
Point the developers to the uploaded sample I posted earlier

Re: Horrible aliasing

Sounds equally as horrible at 48Khz .
It's beyond acceptable
I guess some folks just don't have a good set of ears , or think it's supposed to sound this way

Re: Horrible aliasing

Here's another example , osc 3(saw) synced to osc 2 ( one octave lower )
Osc 2 set to square and slighty pitch modulated by lfo
Only osc 3 output is heard
First cherry audio , then talmod

Horrible aliasing

Here's a file , osc 2 is tuned to 16 and plays a saw at E7 ..NOT synced Second part of the file , now osc2 is synced to osc 1 ( also tuned to 16 ) , only synced oscilator 2 is heard Changing sample rate does not improve it at all , this is getting so worse :hihi: https://app.box.com/s/363d4hks7xiy37...

Re: Nasty artifacts ...in signal path

yes , I hear it when the sound is not harmonally rich , otherwise the artiffacts are masked by other partials and yes I have the latest build Yes , I hear it when I lowwpass filter a saw wave . I have posted audio exxamples on the first page , first post , did you even check them ?? It's a modulated...

Re: Nasty artifacts ...in signal path

They happen at -84 db and -72 db , when using multiple instances this adds up pretty quicly Does dthis mean it's not going to be fixed ? How can this be part of the noise floor ,only at 44Khz and NOT at 48 Khz , can you ask the developer that it might be a sample rate conversion issue Some people sa...
