Re: Analog oscillator qualities

Good question! :D Without any deep analysis of MD’s ”analog” sine wave, here’s some quick ideas off the top of my amateur head. In general, I don’t think there’s any strict rules or steps for making an oscillator more ”analog”, especially since there could be an infinite amount of analog sine oscill...

Vector graphics / SVG

Howdy, Is there any useful/practical way to create and manipulate vector/SVG graphics from the VM module code? I know I can use SVG files for various GUI elements, but those are just shown "as is", and you can't really manipulate them from the code. What I would like to do is draw vector s...

Re: Has everybody stopped using this forum ?

I have been busy coding new modules :D Anyway, my radical suggestion would to be to close this forum altogether, and just use the one on KVR (since we now have one there). It's always a bad thing when people need to visit multiple places to basically do the same thing, and KVR already has a big &...

Re: The Drift Pack now available! Smooth random movement & analog vibes...

I just updated The Drift Pack with two new modules! The mission to make things unstable and unpredictable continues: Lag Drift : A lag processor with a randomly drifting lag time. Sync Drift : A randomly drifting delay for sync / trigger / gate signals. If you already own The Drift Pack, just start ...

Re: Output of overdriven modules isn't remaining clipped

Internally the signal is not clipping anywhere. Going into the first 'scope, it is exceeding +5V but as the 'scope's range is set to +/-5V then it hits the limit and appears to clip. That is just a visual artefact of the 'scope. Yep, that is 100% correct, and I agree that it can be confusing when t...

Re: Swing Rhythm control

Thank you - I wonder why I could not find that before. Probably an unnoticed typo in my search. Ok good! :) Inspired by this thread, I coded a module last night that adds adjustable swing to any sync signal. Already submitted it for approval, and if everything goes smoothly, it should be available ...

Re: Output of overdriven modules isn't remaining clipped

The same kind of ambiguity also exists in the VST world. Without trying (or without specific information from the manufacturer), you can never be sure how a plugin behaves if you crank its input or output beyond ”normal” levels. In my experience, plugins with an ”analog” vibe (which may be based on ...
