Re: FR: Tooltips for jacks, switches etc

No problem. If I increase the zoom level then I can only see one full row on my monitors (1680 x 1050) unless I do a lot of scrolling- that's why I suggested the additional pop-ups. :) That way the GUI does not become cluttered but the info is available when it is needed. Anyway, looking at the scre...

Re: Output of overdriven modules isn't remaining clipped

Let's see if I understand correctly. Internally the signal is not clipping anywhere. Going into the first 'scope, it is exceeding +5V but as the 'scope's range is set to +/-5V then it hits the limit and appears to clip. That is just a visual artefact of the 'scope. If that is correct, then (a) the O...

Re: FR: Tooltips for jacks, switches etc

Some of the PSP modules use a very small font size.

And, on PSP PolyADSR several knobs are small and unlabelled. Also, I cannot work out what the MIDI sockets are for. I've not seen that type of socket elsewhere in VM.

FR: VM Auto-Updates

Ah doh! And I finally figured-out how to download the installer from the Library section of the website to get it to 1.3.16. For some reason, I thought Voltage self-updated itself. Am I wrong in that assumption (I thought I saw it attempt to install a newer version at one point)? I am not too sure ...

FR: Stretch cables to move them out of the way

In some cases I would like to be able to "stretch" a cable to move it out of the way of obscured controls. I could imaging dragging the cable down (or up?). Just as an example, please see these screenshots. The upper one shows the cables in VM; in the lower screenshot I have drawn in two s...

Switching Sequencers

@ Ian , Also if anyone could explain how to trigger sequences in sequence so that one starts when another ends, I would be very grateful as it would probably save me another month of my life. Thanks  Not what you want, but this may save you a day or two. :) https://i.imgur.com/82CkbgBm.png...

Re: FR: More categories for the modules

^^^^ For patch saving, I've just found out that you can type in the name of a new category and that will create a new folder on disk with the new patch in it. Click the category name and you should see a black rectangular outline, then remove the current name and type in the new category name that y...

Thank you - I wonder why I could not find that before. Probably an unnoticed typo in my search.

Bug: Save patch not done

I created a new patch and Saved it with a name, in "User Presets". But I did not enter or select a Category for the patch. The Save seemed to work OK, but the patch is nowhere to be found.

it would be much better if an error message had let me know that my save was incomplete.
