There is an option to do that. In VM 2.7.0 click on the gear icon to bring up the Settings dialog, then select the Account tab in that dialog. It's the checkbox labeled "Ask Before Downloading Updated Modules."

Re: FREE Poly modules: Micro Poly FREE Bundle
Not to blow my own horn, but, say, what's that I hear winding in the distance.... :D Just thought I'd toss out that my Poly Scaler module can do some of that, too. Perhaps the name was unfortunate, as it's really a polyphonic VCA in disguise, and can take either polyphonic or monophonic CVs. Not to ...

Re: Stepless modulation of the oscillator waveform
Actually, most oscillators available for VM are capable of frequency modulation, and some are specifically intended for it.

Re: Pan Law
I'd say it doesn't usually matter, so long as the method is C2 continuous. For mixing, I'd think the constant-power version would be best, although a close approximation would probably be okay.

You can also do it the way the MemoryMoog does it, which is to give the user the choice.

Re: Color Chooser?
I hear the crickets chirping....from which I'd guess no one's done it. Just one of the things I've asked CA for in VMD. Mainly, I asked for better dialogs capabilities, because the MessageBox() functionality that's there is really strained doing the help system on my modules. This one would be nice,...

Re: oversampling?
In light of Chris' announcement, I have to retract what I said earlier about his open library not containing his polyphase FIR code, because now, it does! In regard to latency issues, yes, that is one of the big trade-offs with FIRs, but I don't think it's an insuperable obstacle, because you...

Re: oversampling?
It would depend on the amount and nastiness of the aliased frequencies. Do it with a fed-back ring modulator and I think you'd want anti-aliasing pretty quickly. It doesn't surprise me that you lose some top-end; that oversampling library from R_Ware is, after all, a filter. It's meant to be very st...
