Re: Time to abandon ship?
BTW i've noticed that VCV Rack doesn't save VST state with the patch, once the patch is reloaded VST it's always in its default state (Mac/Win) ... Is this happening to you also? Hm, works for me, it restores Voltage modular in the state I left it. Same with Bidule (haven't done extensive tests bey...

Re: Interface Voltage Modular with VCV
Seems to be a VCV host problem on first sight. At least I get the same behavior in Bidule:

Re: Interface Voltage Modular with VCV
Edit: Apparently vst parameters can be assigned to knobs etc. only atm, not CV inputs. So the amount of data that can be sent back and forth between the two applications is a little bit limited. You could use a DC Source module, and use the VST param to control the DC value knob. This will, for exa...

Re: Interface Voltage Modular with VCV
The size of the memory mapped file can now be a multiple of the buffer size. Not exactly the same as a delay, as the reader does not have to wait a defined number of buffers. But it can now fall behind a little and catch up (on average the reader should read as much as the writer writes as both run ...

Re: Interface Voltage Modular with VCV
Ok, first attempt on writing a module that uses memory mapped files to transfer CV informations between processes. (Thought this should be faster than OSC over localhost as the overhead should be smaller...) Currently this is VM only, if it works one could write an equivalent module for VCV - or any...

[BUG?] debug private/subclasses / InputJack.SetEnabled
Some odd behavior: * When creating a protected class (in the "add your inputs here" section) then the debugger seems to ignore all breakpoints (no matter whether defined in the module class or the protected utility class) * When creating a private subclass (in the "Add your own variab...

Import java file in Module Designer
The Module Designer is already saving a separate *.java file along with the *.vmod file - which is great, so I can edit the file in another IDE and check in the file to version control. Haven't found an option how to import a *.java file again into Module Designer though. At least importing the &quo...

Interface Voltage Modular with VCV
Just tried to load Voltage Modular in the new VCV VST hosting module - works! VCV CV->VM CV, VCV gate->VM gate and VCV audio in/out->VM audio in/out all seem to work! This should open a number of nice options, harmonicly combining exclusive modules from either world. Is there a way to receive the vs...

Re: Time to abandon ship?
By just 30$ you can NOW control Voltage Modular from VCV Rack !!!! Why, though? What's the point of running VSTs inside VCV? It's completely the opposite of what I'm interested in. What next - DAW inside VCV? Just tested - Voltage Modular works inside VCV - FL Studio didn't :P Did some further test...
