Re: GX-80 cracks and huge heavy use of CPU when oversampling x4
There is a huge misconception that the oversampling buttons are "quality" controls. They are not. You will realize no increase in quality through their use. All you will do is double or more your CPU load. Oversampling is not free or a simple change of algorithm. It means every calculation...

Re: Trigger, Timing and Midi Sync
Just a quick observation. The first VCA in your patch has the GAIN pot turned up all the way. This turns the VCA into a piece of wire. Is that what you really want? dunno
That GAIN pot should really be labeled INIT CV.

...and Mark will chip in. Unfortunately the chips haven't come in, so I can't help you. Just kidding. You want something like Rings? I posted this a while back: https://forums.cherryaudio.com/viewtopic.php?t=1100 Also you might want to take a look at the Agile Filter Bank in my Luxury Filter Bundle....

Re: Send trigger on patch load
This should generate a pulse when a patch loads. Use the highpass output. I haven't tried it in your application so lemme know if this works. Other highpass filters should work too. I would prefer the highpass in the VM900 923 module for this.

Re: Rackmode Frequency Shifter vs VM900 1630
Let me just add that the Frequency Shifter did appear in hardware as a rack unit and as a 900 module.

Re: Rackmode Frequency Shifter vs VM900 1630
Nothing. In general, the Rackmode modules for VM contain the same code as their plugin counterparts. However, they are more versatile due to their patchable modulation possibilities not found on the plugins. The RM Frequency Shifter will be redundant to you if you own the VM900 bundle, however it is...

Re: Predetermined/Generative Chords in VM Core
Hi all, The best way to accomplish what you're trying to do is staring you right in the face before you even put a single module into the cabinet. It's the Variations feature. Variations are completely different from patch (preset) changes in that they are instantaneous and only affect knobs and swi...

Re: 24 dB/oct Filter Shootout
Since three of the filters in this shootout were coded by me, I thought I'd contribute a little clarification about their differences. The CA Ladder, VM2500 Filtamp, and Mood 904 are all 4-pole, 24db/oct, Moog-style ladder filter designs with subtle differences between them. I don't know what's in t...
