Re: Bernard Multi Sequencer LED size and brightness
There are many interesting and important questions to ask when designing user interfaces. People work in different environments on different kit. How much natural light is there? Do people work in both natural and artificial light? How big is the screen and how far away is it? What's the user's eyes...

Re: 2.70 update has big problem with touch monitor
Unfortunately, VM is still on 2.7.0 so no change. I wouldn't recommend investing in a touch screen just for VM use (my laptop happens to already have a touch screen). It works fine with buttons and when the patch fits on screen but if the height of your patch is greater than the window then when you...

Re: Time Division
Cheers Grant. I think it's a good compromise. Adroit Custom's forte isn't polyrhythmic or polymetric stuff but I wanted to offer the basics without people having to resort to fancy sync manipulation which often isn't straightforward to do. As the morphing (and sequencing) has sample-rate timing reso...

Re: Time Division
Instead of using a single selection knob I recommend to add a three state selector (switch/knob/slider) "triplet/regular/pointed" and take that selection for a second division factor 1.5/1/0.666666 Yeah, that's effectively the approach that the stock Sync Divider takes... SyncDivider.png ...

Time Division
I'm working on syncing scene morphing to a DAW in the soon to be released Adroit Custom and have a single knob that when synced switches from controlling the tempo of an internal clock to selecting a time division of the DAW's tempo. The time division range is currently 2, 1, 1T, 1/2, 1/2T, 1/4, 1/4...

Re: Manufacturer Visibility for Users
AFAIK it's to do with the store search/filtering options. For removal, if you hover over a manufacturer's name a little X in a circle appears on the right. If you click on that the manufacturer is removed from the listings. After some complaints ages ago about one manufacturer's modules swamping the...

Re: Additional I/O
I'm guessing you have an ES-9? It's USB class compliant so I imagine you can already access 4 of its inputs and 8 of its outputs in VM. If you want more than that then I don't think there are any easy options. I doubt CA are interested but I don't think there are any specific technical difficulties ...

Re: Pan Law
I thought about starting another thread but this is kind of related so here goes... Should solo override mute? This seems to be another one of those things that people argue about but I think it should. As far as I remember all the physical desks I've used work this way. So no matter what when a cha...

Re: Pan Law
Thanks Borkman for those links. You are of course correct that everyone has their own perfectly valid take on these things. Things like workflow are intensely personal and it's understandable that people have strong opinions. Grant and I probably are at one end of the spectrum, I guess you could cal...
