Re: MIDI not triggering Module Sound

Thanks for purchasing the Syndrum.
There should be no echo or the need for a gate on your part.
We all await your screenshot. Many nice people here will get you sorted.
Voltage Modular is a total blast and many many hours of fun await you.

Re: Yamaha CE25?

The GX-80 does not do FM synthesis. Neither did the CS-80 or GX-1. They are all subtractive, so your request for presets cannot be fulfilled. The GX-80 already has a pretty lush sounding chorus, but it's not quite up to ensemble level. Still, with all the layering you can do, things can get pretty t...

Re: Aliasing on the VM900 CP3 Rev 1 mixer

As soon as I have a few microseconds, I will look into this. It's going to increase the CPU load of this module quite a bit to fix. When I got the strange, non-linear behavior of this mixer working, I was really thrilled because it behaves exactly like the hardware. I never noticed the aliasing unti...

Re: Is the Miniverse module filter the same as the memorymode?

They are not the same. Miniverse was written by me. I have never seen any code for Memorymode.

Re: module for mophing

I believe this will do exactly what you want. Be sure to visit the MIDI tab in the LIBRARY to set knob mins and maxes. You can even have a knob go clockwise while another goes counter-clockwise to the exact destinations you want. And instead of having 8 like on the Nord, you get 9! See? One louder. ...

Re: module for mophing

On the contrary.. This is exactly what this: https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/laboratory-vector-processor is for. Here's a video of how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5Wv0PferUQ Available in mono and poly. Included in the MRB Laboratory Bundle: https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/...

Re: Filter bug?

I'm very sorry you're allowing such a weird edge case, something you would never dial up in any actual situation, stop you from enjoying the GX-80. You probably would not enjoy an actual hardware CS-80 either because it does the same thing. If the competition's product doesn't do it, I guess they go...

Re: Filter bug?

I looked into this a little further with a spectrum analyzer and it has now been revealed to me that the thump you are hearing is the highpass filter rising up to meet and amplify the fundamental. Since the global BRILL paddle raises the resonance on both filters, this is what's going to happen. --mb

Re: Filter bug?

I tried to duplicate the settings you described, but you neglected to say what the IL and AL settings were. I do hear what you might be referring to as a "thump", but this occurs when the filter cutoff matches the oscillator frequency. This is totally expected because the filter has a gain...
