Re: boolean alreadyRunning()

Hi Colin, there is the Destroy() method in VoltageModule class that you can use to "clean up" things. This method is called when a module gets removed or VM is closed (see https://docs.cherryaudio.com/voltage-module-designer/module-functions-and-variables ). Maybe it helps if you take a lo...

Re: boolean alreadyRunning()

Haven't done this yet, but since modules cannot communicate with each other the only ways I can think of to achieve this are 1. [Get|Set][Global|Manufacturer|User]Property functions or 2. using the file system to leave a mark. In both cases you will need to take care that the mark is properly remove...

Re: MIDI Learn - Osc Frequency jumps around zero

I assigned a MIDI controller to the OSC Frequencies in Memorymode and when I try to adjust the frequency with the controller knob every time I approach the zero value it jumps from i.e. -0.6 to 0.6 semi-tones. I cannot reach zero with my midi controller. I don't have this on Elka-X and other VSTs. ...

Re: Multi-track recording

You could use multiple instances of a recorder module like VM Recorder, have each one record to a different file and control the start and stop of the recording through the "Rec Gate" input on each module. Takes a bit of setup, but will get you what you described.

Re: Minicleus - A poor man's 2022 Model D

Well, this is the outcome of a lazy Sunday and 2 and a half evenings. I've used the original Minimoog Model D manual and 3 software emulations (Cherry Audio, Universal Audio and Native Instruments) as a reference. The actual challenge was the constraint of using VM Nucleus modules exclusively, so ba...

Minicleus - A poor man's 2022 Model D

Dear fellow modular enthusiasts, I have replicated the signal flow of a 2022 Model D using Nucleus modules exclusively. It does not look, feel or sound anything like the original, but It showcases the power of VM Nucleus and the general fatness of a 3 oscillator monosynth. I have tried to replicate ...
