Re: Module request: 16-step OSC

I think that better than using a sequencer, my Vector Processor module would perform better in this application. It's pretty much made for doing what you want. Although I didn't envision modulating it at audio rates, it will certainly do it. You will also get true variable interpolation between the ...

The VCO in the Laboratory Bundle does not have those artifacts. (known as Gibbs phenomenon if you wanna look it up)

Re: Module request: 16-step OSC

By how you are describing your exploits, I can tell you're doing just fine. New ideas and methods will pour in fast and furious. What I love about VM is the way you can just soar with stream of consciousness ideas without being hampered with finding patch cords of the right lengths, or cursing becau...

Re: Module request: 16-step OSC

You can make the waveforms AC by passing the sequence output through a high-pass filter tuned anywhere below the freqs you are generating. Pass that output through a low-pass to add the slew/smoothing you ask for. This is modular synthesis. You can usually build anything you want. My Lab Filter or t...

Secret "Super Stereo" Mode for 2500 Reverb

There is a way to patch the VM2500 1025 reverb module for "super stereo". The two halves of the module look like they are identical, but they are actually tuned slightly differently in all their delays and filter elements. If you patch your mono (or stereo) signal into both inputs, set both TANKS to...

Re: Syncing the 2500's 1027 sequencer module to host BPM

Have you tried the solution I posted in Preset Exchange? It seems to do everything right. Please let me know how it works for you.

Sync VM2500 sequencer to DAW

Here's a method (although somewhat strange) which will sync the 1027 sequencer to a host DAW and it uses only stock modules. It is necessary to get the RATE control in the vicinity of the desired tempo and the clock will stay synced over an almost 2 to 1 range without readjustment. The preset as sho...

Re: Envelope generator with end-of-cycle?

I have posted an easy way to derive an end-of-envelope signal in the presets thread. Remember, this is modular synthesis, whatever you don't have, you can make (pretty much).
