The Semi-Modular Voice is a big module built up from individual module elements within the MRB Laboratory Collection. It's only available as a monophonic module (whereas MRB's Tiny Voice also has a poly variant).

How do they compare with each other soundwise? Sadly I can't compare them myself because I already trialed them. Mark Barton worked on the modular Miniverse as well so is there even a difference between the two?

I still have the "updating catalog" micro freezes but the list of modules doesn't jump to the top anymore. Still not ideal but it's at least an improvement.

Sadly Cherry Audio has neglected VM a little but there are strong signs that this is changing and a new era may soon begin.


I have that exact same feeling. It has become very quiet recently. No announcements as of late. No new mysterious vintage synth on the horizon so I check CA's website ...

I have RRP and Valley Plateau RE and tried to reproduce your problem. I even put 3 RRP's with Valley Plateau in a row but everything worked just fine. 9-12% CPU usage on an 11 year old PC running Win 10 Pro.
