ESP-20 Processor - what is the latency?

Hi All,
Can anybody give me a hint what is the expected latency between the incoming signal and the detected pitch in the ESP-20 Processor?
Is the evelope in sync with the pitch?

Re: A cosmetic request

I have tried once to compare VCV Rack to the VM - I was under impression that VCV Rack oscillators produce nicer sound but when I closed my eyes I coudn't tell anymore. I think this may be related to the McGurk Effect . Whatever audio plugin we use it will always sound better if it has a pretty UI :...

Re: Little Harmony - new module at introductory price

For anybody interested - I have posted a screenshot on the Voltage Modular User Group on Facebook with a simple patch which turns the Little Harmony , the ESP-20 Processor and few other bits into a very basic autotuner and harmonizer. See the link . https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EHpLSO9WkAIsL6r.jpg

On a dual display Win10 PC, even dragging the little voltage keyboard is not possible.
This is probably because the keyboard is not an independent window - it cannot be dragged outside the VM window rather than the screen. But you can always extend VM to multiple sceeens.

Re: Demo version of modules

Think of this as a licence - demo licence costs nothing but expires after the specified number of days and cannot be renewed, paid one does not expire.

Little Harmony - new module at introductory price

Hi All, After a couple of weeks of strugle with finding a free sit on my commute train so I could spend some quiet time on R&D, I have just published my new module - Little Harmony - a phase vocoder based harmonizer. It has been designed to work best with organic signals like human or animal voices ...

A liitle supprise for everybody who purchased my Freezer module

A liitle supprise for everybody who purchased my Freezer module - I have just published an update which has been requested by a user from Berlin. You can now re-scale the spectrum via the V/Oct signal to produce various range of tones. With high enough resolution this can turn the Freezer into a str...

Re: Import java file in Module Designer

Pretty much everything can be done in an external IDE, the only bits you have to do in VMD is the logic which delegates the functioality to the extrenal project. But I'm still missing the ability to launch the VMD debugger via a CLI... I know this may be just me being picky but sicne most of my stuf...

Re: Pitch to CV module?

Detecting pitch is not a trivial problem... but you may try the ESP 20 Processor, in most cases does quite good job. It also captures the envelope - I've tried this to control VM with my saxophone, it was fun :)
