I'll add my 2c to this as I've been doing some testing today (mac vm 1.2.3)

VST2:
These work:

aas chromaphone 2 + objeq delay
arturia arp 2600 + jup 8 + prophet v +synclavier v + pigments
eventide quadravox
fabfilter twin 2
fxpansion geist 2 + cypher 2 + tremor
ik multimedia syntronik
izotope ...

It seems to happen every time I do this from "cold".

But if I force quit it when it's doing it and fire up VM again and do the exact same thing - it peaks at about 65%.

If I quit normally after this and redo it - 20% cpu.

Personally I prefer demos that introduce noise or have a fixed run time per session rather than demos that expire.

I often test stuff when it first comes out, and if it's not a good fit then - it doesn't mean it won't be a good fit later. Most of the plugins I've purchased were the result of coming ...

I love the plugin hosts. I'm having an issue with CPU use spiralling when opening the file selector though:

setup from new:
oscillator > outputs from 4 waveforms to 4 inputs on plugin host (mini and normal)
plugin host 1L to main L
when go to select plugin and open file selector, more often than ...
