Re: Division Sequencer

Hi - yep, when various interruptions to the sequence get triggered, an LED will remain (temporarily) to provide some visual context for what has happened, and the LED "wipes" away with the next loop. Lit pattern buttons sounds like a good idea - I usually aim for quick turnaround on these kinds of s...

Re: The most Avantgarde thing happening to Voltage Modular right now

Thanks! That emptyC is pretty deep if you ever have the chance to dive in - it started with the idea of modularizing the individual buttons of an mpc-style sampler, so that each button has a full set of visible controls and there'd be no particular limit on the number of buttons, but then it just ke...

Re: The most Avantgarde thing happening to Voltage Modular right now

Listening to the bandcamp now, pretty cool so far, the bass line on this one right now is great! I’ve been deep into a bunch of projects, so I haven’t thought about black Friday (thinking like a business isn’t nearly as in focus as the engineering design process), but I’ll be sure to get in there an...

Re: The most Avantgarde thing happening to Voltage Modular right now

whoa super cool! If you're ever playing in the Boston area, I'll buy a ticket :) Btw, I whipped up those changes which will have to come along with a slightly spruced up the GUI because the folks at CA stopped approving modules (even updates) with smaller jacks. I'm quite a fan of the changes - a cl...

Re: The most Avantgarde thing happening to Voltage Modular right now

Well reading that is definitely making my day :) And sure, no problem & great idea! I imagine it'd be a jack where an input trigger pulse would advance the sequencer, but there are some ambiguities, so reply if you have an opinion: If trigger pulses advance each step, then the divisions lose meaning...

Re: Stratacorder - fonts to tiny

Well it took a little longer to get into the store than predicted (due to unspecified irony)... Here is a larger version of the Stratacorder (labeled "X" for "extra") and if you buy either version, you'll get its partner for free: https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/stratacorder-layering-device-x ...

Re: Stratacorder - fonts to tiny

:) True, and similarly the seven segment displays could be scaled down and so on. Just b/c I enjoy sharing insight into the design process and its decisions - the placement of the controls prioritized spacial coordination, where the jack that outputs a metronome click is right on top of the beat dis...

Re: Stratacorder - fonts to tiny

Well you’ll be happy to know that there’s already a Stratacorder variation (awaiting approval for the store) that’s in a larger format with a little extra functionality and it’ll be free for anyone who already ones the other version. Hopefully, it’ll create some flexibility for various use cases, an...

Re: Stratacorder - fonts to tiny

Sorry, tiny fonts help fit more features on smaller modules and more modules onto smaller screens, but sometimes wind up being merely fuzzy clues on some screens. Here's a closeup: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nwkgNGSyYwd8tbVyBC4T4U-d3DdnvdZR/preview Making seeing-impaired versions has been on t...
